Hard to believe it is already the month of May and summer is on our door step. I hope you’re ready for the heat, and have made plans to have fun somewhere cool.

The real estate market is beginning to heat up as well, and the summer is a very busy time in this industry.

In this month’s newsletter:

  • House of Honey

  • Market update

  • My favorite part of a crisp Diet Coke from McDonald’s

  • and much more!!

Thanks for being here!!

Nothing hits quite like a Diet Coke from McDonald’s in the morning. But my favorite part of getting a drink is the people I get to see each day.

Market Update

Looking for a new coffee spot in the northwest Valley? House of Honey near 91st Avenue and Union Hills in Peoria is getting rave reviews for its creative drinks, cozy atmosphere, and unique treats like white chocolate blueberry protein bites. The local market is also creating new opportunities for buyers, with many sellers offering closing cost assistance and mortgage rate buydowns to help make homeownership more affordable.

Not everyone should be a homeowner.

Not everyone has what it takes. As I’ve said before, owning a home is not an entitlement. It’s an achievement.

  • Being a homeowner requires the ongoing discipline of saving money (in a culture that glorifies SPENDING money).

  • Being a homeowner requires the long term commitment of choosing a neighborhood to permanently plant roots in, rather than the carefree flexibility of 12 month leases.

  • Being a homeowner means maintaining your investment with your own hard earned time and money, rather than calling the landlord to complain whenever something stops working.

  • Being a homeowner is a test of character. It requires emotional courage and the ability to delay gratification.

BTW, here's a picture of me taken at my favorite real estate conference, the Platform Marketing Mastermind event, held in Naples, Florida.

Agents…need to update your fingerprint card?

We’ve got you covered.

Renewing your license can be a hassle, especially if you’re due to update your fingerprint card with the Department of Real Estate. We’ve got you covered with our event happening on May 20th in Tolleson, AZ.

Congratulations 🎉

This one is a little personal for me.

Gavin's dad was a chiropractor in my networking group back 2009, and his dad was one of the first men to speak to me about Jesus Christ. He talked to me about getting married to Maria (my wife) and encouraged me to follow God with my life. To be super honest, I sort of did my own thing and didn't fully listen.

In the past couple years, we felt a tug to go to church. We found an amazing local church at Camelback Community and I've found great friendships and encouragement at Celebrate Recovery. I'm experiencing what Gavin's dad told me about 15 years ago, and I'm so thankful he planted seeds! ❤️

So this brings us to today.

I got to help Gavin and Meghan, both Army Veterans, purchase the home they found here in North Phoenix. We just closed this month!

Congratulations on your new home and God's blessings to you!!

Jason and I first connected way back in September of 2019. We had one quick call and realized while we both love tacos and food, he just wasn't ready to buy at the time.

But fast forward to April of 2024, he called me out of nowhere saying he found his dream home in Phoenix! Then 12 months later I helped him with a refinance on another property that he already owned.

And last week, Jason bought a new property he's going to be turning into an Airbnb! So far, we've worked together on 3 transactions!

I just wanted to brag on Jason, give him a shoutout for being an absolutely stellar guy, and celebrate his success of building a legacy for his family!

Want your success story here? Give me a call and we can get you started on the journey to getting your own Ninja!!!

Cool House of the Month

I saw a post on Instagram showing how color is fading from our modern world. When compared to the 80s & 90s, architecture, buildings & our cars are all trending away from bright colors to neutral gray & white shades.

This historic home in Encanto Park is having none of that!! It is full of vibrance in every room & outside as well. Is it too much? Perhaps, but it certainly isn’t boring.

See all of the pictures here.

Real Estate Humor

Who you work with matters. The best agents are in tune with what is happening in today’s market, and can negotiate you the best deal. If you are considering a search for your next home, let me connect you with one of my agent partners.

Thinking about your next home? Reach out, I’d love to chat with you about what may be possible to help get you in your dream home. There are some good options for refinancing your current mortgage too.
