Last Friday, Maria & I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. I am so grateful to God for the blessing of my wife, and for every single year we have shared together. In honor of this milestone, I hope you enjoy this very special edition of my newsletter!

Hey friends! If you need a place to go for Good Friday or Easter Sunday, I'd love to invite you to come to my church Camelback Community Church off Camelback Road in Glendale. My family and I will be there, and we'd love to see you. We're so thankful to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus and the hope He gives us and the eternal life He promises us...I just felt led to get the word out and invite as many people as I can.
We have service on Friday at 6:30PM and Sunday at 9AM and 10:30AM.

Food!

Got to visit Señor Pollo on 59th Ave in Glendale this week! Here's the lowdown....
I ordered the half chicken with charro beans, macaroni salad, veggies, salsa, and tortillas for $15.99...so flavorful. I also tried the tacos dorados (five crispy chicken tacos + drink for $8.99). After that, I had to take a nap. And then after that my FitBit said I needed to workout 🤣
The red sauce they give you with the tacos is splendid (who am I, Mary Poppins?)! To be honest, I'm not sure why they don't give it to you with the Pollo Asada plates, but I feel like they should.
Next time I’m going for the Papa Loca baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, and my choice of Carne or Pollo Asada.
This is a solid spot I’m definitely taking my family back to and adding to the rotation! 🍗🌮🥔

Not everyone should be a homeowner.

Being a homeowner requires the ongoing discipline of saving money (in a culture that glorifies SPENDING money).
Being a homeowner requires the long term commitment of choosing a neighborhood to permanently plant roots in, rather than the carefree flexibility of 12 month leases.
Being a homeowner means maintaining your investment with your own hard earned time and money, rather than calling the landlord to complain whenever something stops working.
Being a homeowner is a test of character. It requires emotional courage and the ability to delay gratification.

I just bought a new car!
I just bought a new furniture set and financed it all - it's going to look great in my new home!
I quit my job, and I'm starting my new job on Monday! Yay for new beginnings.
I forgot about all of that cash I had sitting around, so I deposited it into my account. That should help with closing, right?
I had a crazy night.... I'm calling from jail, but I'll be there at closing on Tuesday - don't worry!

Abe’s already excited about the extra space—and the new dog joining the family soon 🐶
