Poca Madre at The BLVD is a cool spot to check out. It’s one of Mayor Mike Pineda, M.Ed. favorite spots for tacos in Avondale, and it's easy to see why. Great food and a fun vibe, they are open brunch and dinner.

The city is pursuing a grant to help bring another police station to Avondale near Alamar.
A new Embassy Suites is planned, featuring a rooftop bar, restaurant, and conference center.
He’d love to see a Cheesecake Factory and Famous Dave’s BBQ open in Avondale.
His favorite tacos come from Poca Madre, Rosie’s Taco Shop, and of course, his wife’s kitchen.
An exciting lakefront entertainment district is planned for The BLVD, with an outdoor music venue and additional restaurants.
Bonus: He’s hoping the Arizona Cardinals can finish at least .500 this season.
